The Hongkong Bank Foundation Coaching Accreditation Program

This Programme is concerned with the development and accreditation of coaches in Hong Kong and operates at three levels. The first Level 1 course was organised in July 1991, Level 2 and 3 courses were initiated in January 1992 and January 1994, respectively. Each Level has four parts (A,B,C&D). Part A is concerned with sports-general theory, while Part B is concerned with sport-specific theory, Part C with sport-specific practical and Part D with sport-specific coaching experience. Part A is conducted by the Coach Education Department (CED) of the Hong Kong Sports Development Board (SDB) on behalf of the Hong Kong Coaching Committee(HKCC). Tutors for Part A are profound professors or experts in their own field of work. Part B, C, and D are conducted by National Sports Associations (NSAs) with funding subvented by the HKCC.
