The 6th AIMAG will be held in Bangkok and Chonburi, Thailand from 21 to 30 November, 2024 (specific start and end dates to be confirmed once the number of participating teams is finalized). The actual travelling dates would be departing for Thailand 2 days before the tournament and returning to Hong Kong the day after.

Details of the trial:

Dates:  Tryouts: 20th June (open session, no selectors) at KP

Trial 1: 25th June (community) at KP

Trial 2: 4th July (selected community + Women’s Squad) at KP

Trial 3: 8th July (selected community + Women’s Squad) at KP

Trialists need to attend 2 out of 3 sessions

Players attending these sessions should arrive at the ground sharp and bring along a white shirt and a dark blue shirt, mouth guard and shin guards. The Asian Hockey Federation has advised the HockeyHK that only HKSAR passport holders are eligible to represent Hong Kong at international tournaments. Players are therefore required to produce their HKSAR passport as proof of eligibility before they can be considered for selection for the squad.

Those enrolled to trial can continue to join training until squad announcement. The current Women’s Squad training sessions are generally held every Monday and Thursday afternoon from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm at King's Park Hockey Ground. There are also additional ad hoc training sessions when deemed appropriate. Player selected for 6th AIMAG are expected to attend all trainings leading up to the tournament.

If you would like to attend these trial sessions, please fill in the following Google Form before noon 19th June 2024: https://forms.gle/GoUtXVA9uxy9mbQx7

HK Passport holders that are currently overseas and unable to attend trials may also be considered. Overseas players are required to send a 5 minute training or match highlight clip from the last 1 month that clearly identifies the player AND a playing CV. They are also required to send in a clip of them performing the full 30/15 fitness test with results. Selected overseas players are required to return to Hong Kong (at their own expense) prior to the tournament to attend training sessions and must travel to/from Hong Kong for the tournament.  For the purposes of this tournament, the expectation is that overseas players will attend a minimum of 3 training sessions with the team in advance of the tournament. Please indicate your intended travel plans and training availability in the application. The above requirements must be uploaded to google share drive and sent link to garychung@hockey.org.hk by 25th June 2024.

Remarks:
