Extreme Hot Weather Arrangement for League Matches held under the Auspices of HockeyHK

In light of the latest guidelines on work and leisure activities under extreme hot weather issued by the Hong Kong Observatory, Hockey Hong Kong, China will implement the following measures for league matches held under the auspic es of HockeyHK when local temperature at the ground is 35°C or higher:
1. Clubs must actively manage players with potential health conditions and ensure proper hydration during matches.
2. Umpires and match officials may extend quarter breaks up to 3 minutes and half-time breaks up to 10 minutes at their discretion.
3. Pitch watering at half-time will be required to lower ground temperatures.
These measures are intended to safeguard the health and well-being of all participants during periods of extreme heat. Clubs, coaches, umpires, and officials are requested to exercise appropriate judgment and take all necessary precautions to ensure a safe playing environment.
