HKHA 20-21 Circular no. 5 - COVID-19 Updates, Reminder of COVID Guideline and Club Responsibility
To: Convenors of Affiliated Clubs (Men’s and Women’s)
All Registered Umpires
C.c. HKHA Council Members
HKHA Sections’ Committee Members
It has come to the HKHA’s attention today that two registered players have been tested positive of COVID-19. We will be notifying the relevant clubs/teams and individuals who might have been in contact with these players during recent fixtures. If you have any concerns, we recommend you seek medical advice and have a COVID-19 test as soon as possible.
Given the full effect of the recent surge of COVID cases has yet to be known, the HKHA feels prudent to postpone all league fixtures up to 22 March 2021 (Mon) inclusive.
To safeguard public health among our hockey community, Clubs’ full cooperation would be much appreciated if you will notify us as soon as you are aware of any of your members/players who
- has confirmed to have contracted the COVID-19;
- are considered as having close contact with a person who has; or
- are being subject to quarantine by the authority.
We encourage everyone to maintain vigilant and monitor symptoms and follow health and safety guidelines issued by the authority. If you have any question, please refer to HKHA Hockey Activities 2020/21: Guidelines and Special Arrangements on Prevention of COVID – 19 or contact the HKHA office.
