HockeyHKMS 23-24 Circular No. 31 - Player Movement in Cup Competition

Dear Convenors,

MS committee would like to remind all the Competition bye-law 7.8 on player movement in Cup Competition:

Once a player has participated for a team in one of the Cup competitions, he cannot play for any other team in any Cup competition thereafter without the HockeyHKMS Committee’s approval, which will only be given if the player in question was a necessary replacement for the game in question to enable a team to be fielded. For the avoidance of doubt, this provision also applies to goalkeeper.

The experimental U21 player movement rule does NOT apply in Cup Competition, i.e. a U21 player cannot play 2 matches on the same day, and they can only play for the team they first played in Cup Competition.
