Open Trial Invitation- Hong Kong Girls Training Academy Team
The HKHA Women’s Section will select and enter a youth-aged team into Division 4 of the women’s Saturday league for the 2018/19 season. The aim is to provide a pathway for young players who are not already part of a hockey club, to enter the current Hong Kong club competition. It is hoped that these players will move on to towards Hong Kong National team honours.
Known as the Bauhinia Youth Team, a squad of up to 20 players will be selected from players aged between 12 and 18 years old. Eligible players may also be playing for their school. Players who are already part of a club in Hong Kong will not be considered.
The team will be coached weekly by Arif Ali (current Hong Kong Head coach), assisted by Hong Kong players. Once selected, players will be expected to commit to train and play for this team for the entire 2018/19 season. Matches are on Saturday afternoons.
An open trial will be held as follows: Friday 7th September 2018 and Monday 10th September 2018 – 4:30 to 6:00pm at King’s Park Hockey Ground.
Interested players are required to pre-register by submitting a completed registration form (attached), together with a cheque of HKD$500 to be made payable to "The Hong Kong Hockey Association" to the HKHA at 1st Floor, Administration Block, King's Park Hockey Ground, 6 Wylie Road, Kowloon, by Friday 7th September. Any player not selected for the team will have this amount refunded.
