Appointment of HKHA Patron - Dr Aron H. Harilela PhD JP

The Hong Kong Hockey Association is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Aron H. Harilela, Ph.D JP as Patron of the Hong Kong Hockey Association, effective 20 January 2016. Dr. Aron Harilela is the son of the late Dr. Hari N. Harilela, who served as Patron of the Hong Kong Hockey Association for many years.

Born in Hong Kong, Aron graduated with an honours Bachelor degree in Law and Politics, and a PH.D. in Political Philosophy, both from the University of Hull, England. He is the Chairman and CEO of Harilela Hotels Limited. On 1st July 2014, The Government of the Hong Kong SAR appointed him as a Justice of the Peace. Aron has been appointed on numerous boards and committees in Hong Kong. He is Vice-Chairman of the General Committee of The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce.

Despite a tight schedule to meet his business, professional, civic and social commitments, Aron manages to find time to devote to recreational activities. He plays a fair game of tennis, is proficient at horseback riding and heads the Harilela team in polo - a game he loves and at which he has won several trophies.
